Iceland Supermarket New Cross

I walked into Iceland today with my mother and my toddler to buy a few things. Just before we paid, the staff caught a man in a wheelchair who had apparently stolen around 15 packs of cheese.
Three members of staff started physically fighting with him right in front of the entrance while trying to get the items back. They were hitting and pulling him, and he kept falling to the ground. It was happening right next to a busy road, and we were genuinely scared he would end up in the traffic.
People were shouting at the staff to stop, but I heard someone say, “We don’t care if he’s disabled.” Another customer said the man had done this many times before. I understand that theft is wrong, but what I witnessed was completely out of control and one of the worst things I’ve ever seen.
We couldn’t even leave the shop because everything was happening at the entrance. My elderly mother and my baby were with me and we were all very distressed. During the struggle, a council bin was knocked over and the whole situation was chaotic.
We left feeling shocked and upset. I won’t be coming back to this store, especially not with my family.

Dear Manager of Iceland Supermarket, I would like to file a complaint that the store was closed today, despite it being advertised on the website as open until 5 p.m. This caused me significant delays due to transportation, and I urge you to look into this matter and compensate me for the travel costs I incurred as a result.” Thank you

I recently shopped at Iceland in New Cross Gate and was genuinely impressed by Eucharia at the till which never went unnoticed. She was incredibly helpful and attentive, even with a large queue. In a world where staff often seem to just be performing a job, Eucharia’s caring approach made my evening. Thank you for going above and beyond.

I had a bit of a strange experience at this Iceland's Yesterday So after I got off the bus I went into Iceland (I rarely go to Iceland) to get a few bit and this I what I got 3 ready pasts meals, 3 packs cheeses strings, 2 bottles of Pepsi Max and a face paint kit for the England matches. I went to the self service checkout and once I paid for everything I taped on the screen to print out a receipt but a receipt didn't came out. So in my mind I'm like it must of run out off ink so I put everything in my rucksack and was about to leave until this security guard pulled me to one side to ask me for my receipt (bare in mind I was still in the shop and I didn't even go past the alarms for them to go of if I didn't pay for something) he asked me to take everything out my rucksack and still asked me for my receipt and I could get one because the machine didn't give me one so he asked to lady (who also work there to print out a receipt for me so the lady printed out the receipt and she showed it to the security guard and the reason why the security guard wanted to see my receipt is because he said he want to make sure my food wasn't out of date so I could get a refund if need be.
(I've been to so many supermarkets before in the past and not once has a security guard asked me to print a receipt) However when ever I buy food I always check the foods dates and whether the machine has run out of ink or not it's my choice at the end of the day if I want a receipt or not. Part of me is like he was just bored and he decided to abuse his jobsworth power on me.

Also one more thing I want to add is he was watching me as soon as I went to the self service checkout he was like 7-8 feet away from me and he clearly saw I wasn't about to shop life I was paying for my food. I think when he said make sure you check the dates are still in date so you can get a refund is just an excuse to pull me over so he can abuse his power.

I bought 3 litres of whole milk from Iceland in the UK on 18 May. When I tried to warm it, the milk curdled and turned lumpy, making it unusable. I’m disappointed with the quality and would like to know why this happened.

Super convenient shop, self-checkout tills that take card and cash, kind staff, great prices, what more could I ask for!

New renovations look great. Everything is super easy to find and displayed nicely, although they should have more staff at the tills

everything in this store is expired while it does not say it on the label and over priced as well.
